The field is set!
Maryland finds themselves as the #1 overall seed (incidentally, the Maryland wlax team are also the #1 seed in the women's tournament-an absolute favorite to repeat as champs for their 12th title since 1992).
Defending champs Denver find themselves coming off of a supreme upset at the hands of 4 year NCAA program Marquette (they were a long time MCLA program prior to joining the NCAA). Duke will have to get by the Pios in order to find themselves back in the Final 4.
Notre Dame is likely to plow through their corner of the bracket to get to Philly after what could be a decent tussle with UNC in the 2nd round.
Brown out of the Ivy League has a great opportunity to win the 1st round & host the 2nd round. But they have to get by ESPN love-child Hopkins. Also, Yale is having a tremendous season by program standards but have to deal with at-large Navy & their punishing defense.
A huge chance to see some new faces in the Final Four on Memorial Day weekend in Philly. The game is growing & teams are becoming more competitive, taking down traditional powerhouses.
