Where's the line? In TN there is a gray area on the East side of Nashville where Redneck turns to Hillbilly. I've never been offended to be called either. River Trash is also acceptable.

I blame Mizzou, I never heard Hillbilly when I lived in TN, in MO they have Hillbilly stores, restaurants, and actual hillbilly's.

I'm mid 50's from BR and I've heard and said coon arse all of my life and not once have I heard anyone offended by it and I know plenty of real coon asses including my brother in law from Delcambre. He doesn't give a shite. Now call him a dumbass and he'll beat you into Tuesday.
