FWIW he asked about Immodium (lopermide) not Kratom. Lopermide is an opioid.
It just doesnt cross the blood-brain barrier in normal doses. People are taking insane amounts of Immodium to get a relatively opiate-like buzz.
Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) on the other hand is a natural occurring leaf/herb that when ingested works on the opioid receptors in the body just like opiates, it causes opiate-like effects and has been used for 100+ years as a natural alternative to opiates. People use it to get off the hard opiates like heroin and oxycodone.
Kratom can save lives.

Time to make Immodium illegal. Soon water will be illegal because you can OD on it.

Come on sheriffs and politicians, save us and protect our children! Ban Imodium NOW.

They need to make Suboxone more readily available.
Currently, only specialized doctors can prescribe it for people trying to kick opiates, and there is a law stating the maximum patients they can treat is 30/month IIRC.
Hence, a shortage in doctors, and people looking for help kicking their addiction are turning to heroin or this kinda shite to get themselves right.
InB4Darwinism.

yes nothing i want more than not being able to drop a floater, getting constipated is a hell of a high
as for kratom i went to purple lotus a kava bar in miami and that stuff knocked me out, i was in bed till 5 the next day, i dont know if we got a big dose but it was intense, never again
all i remember was everyone saying bula and taking shots of that stuff and it tasted like dirt and made your lips go numb but no bs im 6'7 and i was in bed the entire next day, i think he gave me a stronger dose but that stuff is intense.

Great technique. They should mandate one Imodium per day per ticket for music festivals. It would make the bathroom experience much more pleasant and they could save money on TP

these kava bars, do they have age limits? Im serious that kratom stuff is intense, i know they had one on the menu that was like 5 servings or whatever for $35 that legit could paralyze someone.

Its not a high that I enjoy. I like highs which elevate cognitive awareness.
This just makes you feel drunk and I don't drink alcohol.

Loperamide got me through some really bad withdrawals once upon a time.. I just always thought it was a skid row wives tale.

But then we'd have to fire every elected official in the country...OK, what's the downside?

They better not make you show ID to get Immodium any time soon. It's already embarrassing enough when I go to Walgreens and only buy anti-diahreal.

only reason they would be given naloxone is for opiate overdose. Don't know if his article is being a little disingenuous.
That is not true during cardiac arrest for a patient who had a suspected overdose we would give narcan. If they had pinpoint pupils or young and not breathing you're getting narcan just to hit your H's and T's.
