That's how I feel about spoons. I can tip a bowl of soup or cereal up to my mouth. But meat with a spoon seems savage.

Nah, if you're going to be stuck with one or the other, the spoon can do more things like a fork than vice versa. You can use a spoon to cut meat and/or hold it in place to cut it. A fork will not work, at least not as well, for any soup, gumbo, stew, etc.

Also, considering cooking without a spoon of any type. Good luck.
