Rangers fans..Globe Life Park question

I will be staying in downtown Fort Worth for a meeting on a Friday night. The Rangers are in town and I wondered if it would be a hassle to Uver to the game and back. I wondered if anyone had experience trying to find an Uber after the game or if it would be too much hassle, or if I would be better off hanging out in downtown Fort Worth. TIA

Rather hang out at Billy Bob's and rope me some cowgirl sloots.

I've heard of mixed experiences. Uber & taxis share the same pickup area. It's located on the 3rd base/left field/NE side of the stadium. It can be a cluster F of traffic & fans right after a game. I've also heard that a better option is to walk a little to the convention center or Sheraton & have the driver pick you up there. Never done it myself, so all my info is second hand.

You'll probably pay close to $60-$100 for an Uber from Ft. Worth to Arlington depending on the boosted rate. Other than that, finding one will not be difficult.
If you're lucky you may pay $40 if the rates aren't boosted.
The one thing that sucks about the ballpark is that you pretty much have to drive unless you want to spend kind of a lot for a ride.
Now since you're just in town for work I can see it being worth it for you, just don't be shocked when it's a bit more than you expected.

Sit in the shade or die. it's miserable in the sun at GLP.

This is only true if you go to a game in July-August and during the day.
No matter where you sit, unless you're super poor and sit super high up, the sun won't be around for very long after first pitch if it's a night game.

Thanks everyone for the input. I've been to the park before so it's not like it is a must-visit.
Sounds like that the peak rates and the hassle would make it more trouble than it's worth, so I'll probably pass.

If you had your own rental car I would suggest parking in the office building on the NW corner of Randol Mill and Six Flags Road. Only $5 to park (they request tips so I usually give them $5). Shuttle service to and from the Convention and Visitors Bureau building (near CF).

Walk to the Hilton hotel bar after the game. Grab a drink or two and then grab an über to avoid surge charging.
