try unplugging everything else and plug your computer directly into the modem. That will make sure nothing else could be online during your test.

I was plugged into the modem but there were things on the network too so I will try that. Thing is I was on coxs test and it showed close to what I should get. I am just wondering if Coxs website is rigged to show there connection performing correctly or if speedtest.nets stuff isnt that good of a test.
