Grimm Speculation

There is that mysterious piece of wood that was found buried, and is being kept "under wraps" in a secret place in the tunnel. I didn't catch them giving it a name(unless I missed that detail being said). They discovered it had healing properties. Ok. But what's it good for? And what is it?
My notion is it is supposed to be a piece of the "true cross" sought as a religious relic by Christian pilgrims, Knights Templar, and other Christian seekers in earlier centuries. Legend is it had healing properties. Ok. But why on Grimm?
My speculation is that given the healing aspects of this unnamed piece of wood, and given there are not one but two female hexenbiest love interests (present - Adaline and past - Eve/Juliette) who might find those healing properties valuable for their own "conditions" - that piece of wood will maybe be used to rescue Adaline, healing her from her unwanted hexenbiest status' return.
In short, using that wooden stick, I'm wondering if Adaline will be saved from fully "turning back" to what she loathes so she and Nick and Kelly can form a stable Grimm family unit. More or less.
I'd like that, because I like Adaline as a character and as Nick's love interest - far more than I did Juliette and Nick before she became Eve.

Exactly what I've been thinking.

Thought the same about the cross. But they did say that it could also be harmful. I'm sure there will be a power play for it at some point.

I am more intrigued by the creepy tunnel than the relic from the forest church. I assume the wood to be associated with the true cross as well since it dates back to the templar days; but knowing this show i am sure it has vessen ties or brings those ties into christianity some how.

vessen
It's spelled "Wesen", from the past tense of the German verb "sein" (gewesen), which means "to be".

Could it be that Jesus was a vessen, just something to kick around...

I really think they will go there...
Also curious as to what powers baby Kelly might have.

Kelly is a Grimm/Hexenbiest hybrid
Diana is basically a double strength Hexenbiest (Hexenbiest + Zaubererbiest) with Royal blood.
Remember: "Zauber" by itself means magic. "Zauberer" means either wizard or warlock.

Yeah I don't get how Diana is all powerful due to royal blood. The other royals were pushovers. Renard is a mix of Royal and hexenbeast and isn't suped up.
ETA: never mind. Isn't Diana suped up due to Adeline going through the rituals to get her powers back.
