Thoughts? Haven't watched many games this season. But he has the best stats of all our guys in the bullpen.

Closer is an overrated position unless your name is Mariano Rivera. We don't need a closer. We need effective relievers regardless of the inning.

So much contradiction in here. Our relief pitching has been God awful for the most part. As of right now I have zero faith in Stallings, Gilbert and Bugg, zero!!

I'll never forget our third game in Omaha. Newman was the only pitcher who shut down TCU, he dominated them facing the minimum. We finally found our man.
Then CPM replaces him the next inning.

CPM does not adhere to the "go with the hot hand theory" on relievers.

In the TCU game I think that was Norman , not Newman
