I will never understand why the studios thought it would just be "ok" to cast an actor in 2 different super hero roles.
Because they usually do better the second time around. (If they're recast as a different hero, it means that their previous hero character had a short shelf life.)

quote:Yes.
so is Ryan Reynolds no longer Green Lantern since he's now Deadpool?
quote:Because Ryan Reynolds IS Deadpool. Nobody else could have pulled that off nearly as good. It's either you make it with RR, or you don't make it at all.

But Affleck's portrayal of Batman is of an older, coming out of retirement hero.
quote:And your point? That has absolutely nothing to do with the original post I responded to.
RDJ was the beginning of Iron Man, not the end.
RDJ is still playing IM in the Spiderman movie (2017) & has been confirmed for Infinity War (2018). That's a fricking decade of playing IM.

Not sure I see Damon as Hal Jordan, but someone of similar age (and presence) would be good.
Former ultra-confident test pilot without fear, a strong will, can still wear the suit without looking like a slob... McConaughey maybe?
Hell, in this photo he looks perfect for the role.

Ray Liotta would've made a great Hal Jordan in the 80's or 90's. He looked like a Gil Kane Hal.
