Sounds extremely silly to me--especially when most public school kids struggle with the fundamentals.
Are you saying kids are just not as smart as past generations who learned cursive while also learning the fundamentals?

I don't know, but there seems to be a new breed of brain dead kids out there these days.
I started writing cursive in 4th. My wife is a 4th grade teacher in Lafayette Parish and when she occasional brings home papers to grade, I can barely read these kids print handwriting much less if they tried to write cursive.
I just think in this day and age, when 90% if not more; letter-writing, essays, proposals are done on computer, get those shite birds typing. At least if they don't make it out of highschool they can go be a secretary.
