I'm looking to go to Belize in a month and I was wondering if anyone had stayed in Caye Caulker. We go to Amebergris Caye all the time but this is going to be a short trip and I thought about visiting here just to change it up a bit. We've been to the island before for the day but I'd like to know where would be a good place to stay.

Love Ambergris Caye, haven't been in almost 10 years. I want to go back and take my wife soon.

I do too. It's one of my favorite places. I've been to multiple Caribbean islands plus Kauai and Maui and I'll put up against any. Just want to go someplace different this trip. I'm looking in to Plancencia also.

Getting a little off subject but we took a boat to the blue hole and lighthouse reef, I'd say lighthouse reef might be one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. It just felt like an untouched paradise, not sure if it is still like that though.

We stayed at Caye Reef. Has swimming pool and hot tub very modern especially for Caulker. Its also close to the Split.

Did you guys see my review of Ambergris Caye ? ....it should bring back some good nostalgia.

If you truly liked AC's relaxed and quaint island vibe, but would like to try another destination I would strongly recommend Isla Mujeres.... Here is my review of Isla Mujeres

Both amazing places to visit, and for me in 15 years....to retire.
