So what's the zoom in one of these things? Will I be able to see anything from 50-100 yards away?

We use high end Fluke thermal imaging cameras in the test lab at work. I've had quite a bit of experience using them. This Seek version has a higher thermal image resolution than the Fluke that I use at work. And the Fluke is a $3000 piece of equipment. I think the biggest advantage of the Fluke is that it uses a two camera system. It take a real image with one camera and blends the thermal image on top of the real image. Sometimes that help you see what the thermal camera is seeing. Looks like the FLiR One camera someone else posted on another thread does this function. Sometimes that additional image information is distracting so it is good to be able to turn it on and off. Also wished it had a scale at the side like the Fluke. Best you can do is show high and low and sort of guess from there. If I was buying full price with the intended purpose to use with hunting I would get the extended range model they now sell. Looks like they specifically designed it for use with hunting (game or humans) in mind.
