On your 62nd birthday, the big brother to our last Great Recession hits. You get laid off. Even what few jobs there are, who will want to hire a 62 year old, when pick of the litter youngsters will work for food?

So... what's your plan, since you haven't saved for retirement, but now you've been forcefully retired? Livin' in a van down by the river?

Excellent point, I probably know a dozen or more people that had planned to work to 65 or 70 that were forced to retire by their companies at a earlier age.
