I feel like this happens every year. Is Pap REALLY that great defensively? I haven't actually noticed this mythical defensive beast that can't be replaced. I feel like Maineri says it, then the fans in here eat it up and it takes on a life of its own

Well, he's committed no errors and throws out more runners than not. I'd say that's pretty good defense...

Catching for Lange is a tall task and we are lucky to have Pap in that position. The average catcher can't stop 30 balls in the dirt when Lange pitches.

The dilemma is if you'd rather have 1 or 2 more hits per game or let 1 or 2 opponents turn a single into a double by pass ball/steal.
