Maybe Romero should be starting, but CPM should continue to give Pap opportunities, because he could improve like Stevenson and Kramer. And he is a better catcher.

The other thing to realize is that Romero has been given selective opportunities. When he becomes an every day player his average might drop due to the unfavorable matchups.

Ask any hitter and they will tell you that they need to get into a rhythm by getting PT. Of course Romero's BA might drop if he plays C regularly, but it also might rise. I think he's earned the opportunity for us to find out. There is also the intangible of leadership. I get the feeling that Romero has earned the respect of the team with his hard work and blue collar approach.
