BATON ROUGE - Police are currently investigating a home invasion in the 1100 block of Wylie Drive in Baton Rouge Wednesday morning.
According to Baton Rouge Police, officers were investigating a series of burglaries in the Woodstone subdivision. A burglary on East Woodruff Drive sparked the search for the burglars. According to police, the burglars previously stole a car in St. Tammany, drove it to Baton Rouge and abandoned it along Woodruff Drive.
Police say the two burglars were chased on foot when they hid in the home on Wylie Drive.
Police say the resident was not home at the time of the invasion, but once he arrived he confronted the men. According to authorities, the victim was attacked and tied up in the house, however he did not need to go to the hospital.
“The home owner came home and the suspects were inside,” BRPD Sgt. Don Coppola said.
BRPD confirmed that the suspects fled from the home in the victim's car, a blue 2015 Ford Mustang, with a New Mexico license plate reading "TOPRAK."

Should of had a gun on his person. Hopefully it's a mistake he'll never make again.

I guess it's less conspicuous than a pink Mary Kay Caddy. (Saw one the other day, BTW.)

Not sure why the police and paper are calling this a HOME INVASION other than to be dramatic.
Home Invasion = they break in while you are home.
Burglary = they break in when you are NOT home.
This was the latter. The definitions aren't up for debate.

Must've been where these two cop cars were going to around 11 this morning. We're flying down highland near Kenilworth into a neighborhood.
