Check out Millenium Park. All sorts of cool stuff to see and do around there. The bean, the water fountain, the gardens, the walkway over to the lake, Navy Pier.

On a summer holiday weekend, I'd never suggest Navy Pier, but if you're going for a walk, head on over there and check it out. If for nothing else you'll get a lake breeze and a cool view looking back over downtown.
