Burge it's worth a $30 or $50 investment. The amount of content you get for that price is ridiculous

The Korean version, and their plan to stick with that, is endgame consists of guild vs guild pvp. Can be rather large scale siege warfare of castles and such.

Lowbie group combat is for xp boosting mainly, the scroll-called bosses are supposed to be for 2+ players but if stay mobile can solo them. There are also no real defined tank/heal/dps roles as their are no taunts and no deaggro's to focus fights, sandbox combat for real. Closest thing is the Tamer class is really too weak endgame so they harass and herd group enemy towards area/team.

Where do y'all get these quests? Do you have to build amity first?

Right npc, usually in a chain series. Velia docks has the Otter and the lil guy fishing to start series gives a raft to fish from (Crio and Arbelin?)

Be sure to NOT have the trash fish reject checked for the early fishing quests. Mudskipper, and mackerel and starfish/sandfish are white con so get thrown away with trash box checked. (You get credit for the catching but further along have nothing to turn in for another in series so gotta do it again.)

There's also a Trade series from Behar that rewards a cart for horse/donkey.

BTW: Some of the amity building quests have been bugged "getting to know ____". Those open the npc shop for shiny goods but the bug makes them extra frustrating. Supposedly swapping to other channels can help, also can use the Wave Hi (F1) to slowly add amity over time instead of other ways.

It just seems a bit tedious that I'm grinding amity to open quests lines. Part of me likes that you have to build relationships and explore and talk but it seems a bit much. Not to mention conversations are overly complex, it's a rather confusing mechanic.

Here's a handy Amity Game tool for use with conversations/games BDO Amity Tool. The Amity game window gives you the info for the menus (current levels of interest, the goal that round is about, etc.)

Also, open the quest journal (letter O) and be sure the tiny little preference boxes on the right immediately under the heading Quests has the "All" highlighted and not greyed out.

I had that issue with my journal only having certain types of quests displayed. Maybe it defaults it to that way.

I find the Amity game to be kinda fun...up until the point it tells me that I should fail to spark interest 4 times and I have an interest level % of like 45 as my lowest...meaning it's literally impossible. All the other options are like 75-100% with 3-4 of the knowledge characters being 100.

I'll leave alone the fact you think street fighter is button mashing

But yes, you have to actually think later in the game. Enemies start getting their own abilities later on and you have to manage certain skills and CDs to counter.

Warrior is pretty much the tank role. They also have a taunt, but I don't think you actually level it in the current meta.

Not gamechat. Just global chat. Channel and Role-Play are the two I know for sure. Using normal chat doesn't consume energy. Either way, towards end game you'll have so much energy it won't matter.

Nice tip in general chat about the gold spammers: Setting>game settings>channel chat set it to US only and the Chinese gold spam goes away. (it really is Chinese too, can whois the websites and see they all list to Hong Kong or Mainland China)

Also once in game escape>chat filters(bottom row)>custom list using things like: www, vvvvvvv, .com, com, c0m, etc.

so...amity looks really confusing but it's quite simple.

1. The top of the conversation lists the goal (talk freely, spark interest x times, earn x amount of favor)

2. There will be an interest number listed for the person talking to. If your person (knowledge) you selected has a higher interest than the person your talking to, you will spark interest 100% of the time (thus the 100%) If that interest number is lower, the percentage starts to go down.

3. Your people (knowledge) will have a favor listing...one guy I've seen would show a 4-8 favor...meaning you're gonna have a tough time if you use him. Other guys may be in 40-48 or 30+ range. Those are the guys you want to use to build favor, however favor is only guaranteed if you spark interest...so if you have someone with high favor but low interest it's gonna be iffy.

4. Buffs/Debuffs... some people (knowledge) can be combo'd. Clio (the otter guy) I think does a after 5 rounds increase interest by 1 for 1 round or something similar. You can actually highlight over knowledge pictures on the little selection thing and see the buffs. Think of it as simply adding that much interest/favor to your turn.

Now...with that info, you have to go through and select the people to best match up. You may need to use that guy with shite favor, but buffs 8 interest for 4 rounds...in order to boost up the numbers of someone that was at say 63% chance to spark interest.

*ETA* I read that guide too...it over complicates the shite out of things I think, but did give me some base knowledge to figure it out in game on my own.

Wow I never even paid attention to that I was just trying to put people with close to 100% in the slots. It doesn't make sense for one of goals to be fail to spark interest but whatever.

On another note, just talking to people and completing a few small quests seemed to open up a bunch of other quests in velia. Things are starting to make sense. I still don't see any quests in Olivia which seems weird: I see a guide online where they say there's a bunch of crafting quests there but I don't see them.

One final question I sold a shard gem thing sir 200k on market, where do I actually Cole t the money?

Doing quests is definitely the way to gain contribution points

Was stuck at only 5 for awhile, up to 8 now with several quests in my queue about to give more contribution point xp. Ready to set up my fishing rod manufacturing plant in Velia

Alts can help with those Con Points too. Energy is about only thing not shared in your "family" of alts.

Be sure to check P>Task>complete. After a couple of days you get a scroll to mail attachment to alt to help them out.
