LMAO don't be a dumbshit...

A baby "gets its immune system" by being born with an immune system.
Yes, a very underdeveloped one. The child relies on the mother for the first six months of life to supplement its immune system.

The IQ thing is bunk and has been proven false by numerous twins studies.
Not so sure about this but maybe you can provide some links to sway me.

Underdeveloped in what sense? The child relies on the mother to supplement it? What is that even supposed to mean? Seriously..on a cellular level, and specifically which antigens and antibodies, what pathway into the baby's lymphatic system, etc.
This is a study about drinking water and breastfeeding that discusses the issues I brought up already:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2486614
A key factor here is that the relevant antibodies:
1. Must be present in the woman's body in significant amounts (which is to say the woman probably must be in recent contact with the relevant antigen)
2. Must be transferred to breastmilk in significant amounts
3. Must be able to enter the baby's immune system through the GI tract

The Colen study is probably the most recent and well-documented study showing that the long-term effects of breastfeeding (IQ included) tend to be overstated or just flat out myths.
