But you won't accept that OP posted his card
No he didnt. He posted the chipset, not the card. There are multiple variations of the 5670, including 512mb vram and 1 gb vram editions and multiple different display output variants.
Asus alone makes 4 separate variants of the 5670... LINK

How can I find on the box what it can do. It doesn't say.
I have 1GB of vram.

give us the exact model from the box. for example: ASUS EAH5670/DI/1GD5

I love reading tech board threads where someone gets absolutely owned by you...extremely entertaining.
Everytime I see DispacedBuckeye post bad advice I get a little excited.

So 1 VGA, 1 HDMI, and 1 Display Port
Posted on 3/23/16 at 1:25 pm to taylork37
Does that necessarily mean I can do 3 different monitors simultaneously?
And WTF is a display port?
ETA...I ran over all the ways that I can wire this in my head and the cables I have and don't have.
The cheapest way to do this it seems is to get a Male Display port to Female HDMI adapter.

How does this look? It does sound and video.

Youve got 1 DVI, 1 HDMI and 1 DP - so yes, you can do 3 separate monitors. You'll need an adapter to go from DP to DVI though.

And there is the problem. I don't have another DVI cable.
And I don't have a DP to DVI adapter.
This is bullshite.
I can do all of this without hooking up the TV if I can get VLC app on the TV to search the network for my shared files and stream them over the network. But it doesn't want to do that.

Yes! DisplayPort is the key to 3+ displays, as it's an independent controller not shared with the other ports.

It's just another display interface. It has a lot of advantages in that it can carry multiple types of data, and particularly, a single port (version 1.2 or better) can support multiple displays independently via multi-stream transport. Your monitor would need a direct displayport interface. Otherwise you'd have to buy a $20 or $30-ish adapter.
EDIT: just get the needed cables and adapters from monoprice for cheap

Just trying to stream video? Does the TV have a plex app? If so, install Plex on your PC, point it to your media folders. That's a free solution and works extremely well. Or, if you don't have plex on the TV, get a chromecast or fire stick.

Not sure what your setup is, but if outside the price it is a physical hassle to run this setup you could always buy a chromecast for $30 and use Plex to stream from your PC.

I have a fire TV stick. And I thought Plex isn't a good option?
Posted on 3/23/16 at 2:40 pm to Pectus
I use Plex almost daily with my chromecast. As long as your server (wherever the media is housed) doesn't have a horribly weak CPU, it works just fine.

Not sure where you heard that from but Plex is great. I also use it daily. Skip the 3 monitor setup and use that.

OK. I got Kodi instead...but the same idea!
I now have 2 monitors (one on DVI and one on HDMI) for my desktop...
And my Amazon Fire TV Stick is running on my TV through my shared files folder over the LAN.
I now have my 3 monitor setup! Thank you!
The whole reason I did this was my friend gave me a monitor, so I didn't have my TV as my second ( ).
I also wanted to move under a fan now that it's getting warmer out. SO...now I've in my nook under my fan! Thanks to all of you!

Embarrassment is usually manifested in hostility on the internet. Understandable. But really, the most alarming thing is that you still don't realize your mistake.
