agreed. He should be on the short list, maybe not at the top it, but certainly right there.

Give it up Fluco, just give it up. A thread every two hours isnt making the administration think he's any greater of a canidate.

Wrong, everyone knows who he is. He's just not the best available. Period. Get over it. If he was, there would be 53 threads about him, not including yours.

Fluco, besides you, I am probably the biggest Brian Kelly fan, but you may need some help.

You wouldn't happen to have a Brian Kelly Fathead would you?

ha no i know it's alot. im just curious as to how some people know that he's not the best available. and what determines if someone is available because i hear alot about saban? do you really think he is available? shouldn't we put a stop to the saban threads? and how do we know del rio is better? because he's in the pros? don't get me wrong i like spurrier, but i thought they were better than they've played

Brian Kelly is in the mold of our past two coaches. Coaching at the #2 school in his state, midwestern background. The difference between he and Les is that his alma mater isn't FBS, and as far as I know isn't FCS either.

i just don't understand why people say he's not a real possibility. they say he's not but they don't ever say why

Just because Brian Kelly's name isn't lighting up these boards doesn't mean the actual decision makers don't have him high up on their list of candidates. At least I hope he's high on the list.

brian kelly is a great choice for lsu, i hope we get him. everyone on here is too busy drinking the saban/spurrier kool aid to consider real candidates.

Instead of a LSU logo next to our username they should put everyone's top coaching choice so we could weed out all the psychos who want Saban back.

I think he would be great but apparently he is not on the radar. Looks like this hire will be about going after an SEC big fish.
But he may end up being the guy after this hire in a few years.

I remember the last time we hired a coach, big names were tossed around as well, and we ended up with a less established coach. I wouldn't be surprised to see the same happen again.
