I will always recommend Simazine for home lawn use. It is what I use in my yard. It is much cheaper and more readily available than Specticle.

The simazine is a better option for non professionals. I have read horror stories about Specticle and the damages that can occur even with experienced applicators. The price coupled with the risk/reward isn't worth it to me. Sounds like y'all have a good system and arse loads of turf so it works for y'all. I wouldn't use that on any of my clients.
