Does LSU talk to a minority coaching candidate before a hire? Consider the uproar with Texas A&M and Ole Piss. Would it be a true interview? Who might it be. What about Gill from Colorado?

don't see that happening. no big names or solid HC;s in a program that could take over an LSU, at least no right now.

Jerry Baldwin is on the short list along with Coach O whose Cajun heritage makes him a minority.

Croom would be the only one I'd see LSU interviewing.

I second that - Croom has done an awesome job with Mrs. State

Would Rich Rodriguez be considered a minority. Yes, only because of his last name.

I'm so tired of this crap. Don't you think, with the money at hand now a days, that if a guy is good enough to get the job, he would get it. Maybe a minority isn't a candidate b/c he doesn't have the experience yet... color should have nothing to do with it, and if a black guy gets an interview b/c of the color of skin he should consider it an insult.

Jobu I completely agree with you. I believe a candidate should be judged on his or her past record as a coach. I will even go a step more and say Alabama was wrong in firing (was it Mark or Mike Price) for being caught with a prostitute in a hotel off campus and off the clock so to speak.
In my oppinion interviewing a coach just because he is black is racist. Interview crudentials not color or race.
