2016 NCAA Tournament Thread (Final Four)
Posted on 3/16/16 at 7:15 pm

All I have been doing in my free time the past few days is work on my March Madness brackets. (ESPN, CBS Sports)
I always have one official and then I just fill out the rest because you would be a fool not to try to at least win some money.
I wanted us to have one thread that was stickied and kept track of the scores, upsets, gametimes, our picks, etc...
This isn't a tourney bracket or anything, just post your picks so we can go back and talk about how we called it.
TV Schedule/Times (All times Central)
April 2nd, 5:09pm/CT, TBS - #2 Villanova vs. #2 Oklahoma
April 2nd, 7:49pm/CT, TBS - #1 UNC vs. #10 Syracuse
Fun Facts so far...
- Texas A&M had the biggest comeback under 35 seconds in college basketball history, not just in the tournament, when they erased a 12 point deficit to send the game to OT. (Northern Iowa)
- 6 ACC Schools are in Sweet 16 (Tournament Record)
- Michigan State's defense was ranked 20th in the country. They have beaten Kansas, Maryland (twice), Purdue, Ohio State (3 times), Louisville, and Florida. Middle Tennessee's offense was ranked 198th. Most people think this is the biggest upset ever. (I agree)
- Notre Dame, Iowa, Wisconsin, Northern Iowa, Texas A&M all had game-winning shots or game tying shots in the final seconds of their games.
- Arkansas Little Rock came back from 14 points down with only 4 minutes left to upset Purdue in OT.
- Yale makes tournament for first time in 50 years then upsets Baylor in 1st round before nearly coming from 16 down to Duke in the second round and nearly winning that one too.
- Pac-12 had 7 teams in the tournament but only one remains, #1 Oregon
- Taurean Prince said exactly what any of us would have said if we just lost to a 12th seed and were asked how Yale out-rebounded Baylor, "You go up and grab the ball off the rim when it comes off and then you grab it with two hands, and you come down with it, and that's considered a rebound. So they got more of those than we did."

I fill out alot of brackets but only have two main ones, my official bracket and my upset bracket. My upset bracket is almost always better.

I get really specific with mine.
1. First one I do without research, going only on what I know about the teams.
2. Faves Only
3. Upsets Galore (Not all upsets but a lot more than usually pick)
4. Sit down and really study the games
5. Ask my fiancé, "Which team?" And she picks without knowing anything or even seeing the bracket.
6. Do another one on Wednesday
7. Ask fiancé to do one based only on the Mascots
8. Another one, second guessed four or five games, need to fix that
9. Get away from picking the same teams for each game, it happens. (For ex, South Dakota State. I love them as an upset so I picked them almost every time without thinking that they would ever lose)
10. Whatever, just in case I am right and wanted to win the money bracket

Cube rat here, too.
My 25 year old self would have gotten drunk for the Michigan game last night, taken today and tomorrow off for St. Paddy's and the tournament and blacked out all weekend.

My boss went to Duke, so he promised to look the other way when I called in sick.

My only real upsets are Chattanooga beating Indiana and Wichita State taking down Zona although I do have a bracket with Zona making a run.
I could see Fresno possibly giving Utah a hard time, too.

I'm trying to watch the live app on iphone and it's only half screen with stats listed below. I don't see a fullscreen button anywhere...anyone else having this problem?

Duke better step their shite up. I have them in the elite eight even though I was well aware of how inconsistent they've been this year.
