1. I don't care if he is successful in the NBA or not. I am a college basketball fan. I can always be a Steph Curry fan if I want to pull for a great pro player.
2. How anyone could have watched Simmons and not see the flaws in his game is beyond me. He passed up five to ten foot shots time and again. Being unselfish is great but not when you are 6'10" and refuse a five foot shot to pass it to 6' Josh Gray underneath the basket who naturally gets his shot smashed back in his face.
3. His attitude went down the drain when we went into our losing streak. Stupid revenge fouls and seeming not to give a damn.
4. It's not that his defense was bad it was that he gave no effort. When I see a 6' 10" player just not contend a layup but actually move out of the way it sickened me. Not getting back and losing his man are just not something that should ever happen if you are trying.
5. It wasn't great passes that I will remember from him but the 6 and 8 turnover games down the stretch when we needed every break we could get.
6. I do agree that some of the feelings I have are not his fault. He was crammed down our throat by LSU and every talking head at every game. No one could have met his expectations. But then it was always everybody's fault at LSU that we didn't have success from the fans to the coach but never Simmons. I don't get LSU fans that don't point out his flaws and seem to accept the massive condemnation that our program has received. To say that all of it was on the other players and coach and no responsibility for Simmons is just wrong.

Spot on sir. He was playing cautious most of the time.Getting to the NBA without injury and working on his Passing which was a little over the top. Didn't want to take jumpers that would of hurt his shooting %
