That's not totally unfair. Again, looking at it today and when the copter video was released, it looks like he was avoiding a collision and I don't think he saw that person off to the left. We agree there. But I can't honestly say it was wrong or that I would do anything differently than the cops firing when that's what I've been trained to do in that situation. Less than a second to decide if this guy fleeing is coming at me or going to avoid me. Do I want to do something that could stop him and save my life or take a chance that he will swerve to avoid me?
