1- Michigan gets spooked off of Miles for some reason and they don't offer him the job and drag this thing out until Mid December and choose another coach.

2- LSU is stuck with a coach who would then be less popular with LSU fans then the day he arrived.

3- Les loses trust in the fans and the players and recruiting suffers.

4- We lose 3 or 4 games next year and the slide begins.

I just hope we win on Saturday and Les is gone so we can rebuild and stabilize. I like Les and hope he stays but I think if he fails to quash the rumors before the SECCG he is done as the LSU HC.
He might save face and announce after the game he is home at LSU and has no desire to leave for Michigan.

I think if LSU loses Saturday Michigan will sour on him. Being #1 and losing the last two games to lower ranked opponents takes away alot of luster.

I am pretty worried right now that he stays.

Nope, done deal. Miles to Michigan, Pellini to Nebraska. Top three candidates for job RR, SOS, JDR.

Me too.

I am afraid Les will damage his image at LSU and stay.

Even with LSU tanking and Les saying stupid stuff like "only undefeated team in regulation". The Michigan faithful are going to fired up? I doubt it. I think if it were done, it would be done by now. Les nor Michigan have anything to gain by dragging this out. Think about it. They may have told Les it is a done deal but I think they (Michigan) are still weighting options and sending out feelers.

Why the living hell would RR leave where he is when he is about to play for a NC, and is in a far easier conference?

Indoor plumbing, perhaps.

I'm not to sure about that logic...
Spurrier's team isn't ranked and lost their last five games...hasn't taken away his luster, the RANTards are more convinced than ever that he walks on water!

You forgot #5 on your previous list
5) A giant meteor crashing into the LSU Campus!

SOS is a proven SEC coach. He has won it all at UF and made SC competitive. Les has no HC experience in Big 10 (We know that is no big deal but I am sure it is being mentioned in Michigan) SOS losing at SC is not a big deal.

Les blowing up at the end of this season cannot look good for the Michigan crowd. I don't think all of the higher ups are sold on him to start with.

Since when did Les trust the fans and why did he trust us?

What the hell are you talking about? What exactly is wrong with Les Miles? Answer-nothing. If LSU wants to keep winning they better hope he stays here. 32-6, playing for SECCG, and 2 Sugar Bowls.

Spurrier is a has-been
Saban is mediocre. One great season does not make you a great coach.

If not us then who?
Did we "deserve" it in '03 when we backed into the NC game after 5 or 6 teams ahead of us lost in 2 weeks.

Being greedy, I have no problem with the Michigan gig not working out for Les, I would love to keep him at LSU. However, it's looking more and more like it's a done deal.

I'm sure he doesn't have all the "higher ups" sold. But, it's sort of like an election, you don't need to get ALL the votes, just 50% + One!

Spurrier at 6-6, Competitive! Give me a break! Lou Holtz had SC that competitive!
