Les Miles has been put in a difficult sitiation. He has not lies like Saban and said he will not take the job. I dont think anyone can blame les for leaving it is his dream job and it is were he wants to be. I like the guy but i think he is just anther Coker. He would have ran this program down. If you dont think he is gone then you are just stupid bye les thanks for keeping the team average with Saban's players. Lets find a coach who wants to stay at LSU and win titles.

The only reason Les is in a difficult position is he allows himself to be there. IF he would step up to the plate and simply say "I am not a candidate for the Michigan job or any other job, I am staying at LSU and I know LSU will take the correct action with my contract"

Simply said he accomplishes his goal of the best salary pkg he can get. He sends Mich on its way and life goes on--UNLESS he really wants the MICH job then he does what he is doing now and puts himself in this position!

Because it is called bargaining power if he does indeed stay at LSU. He gets to renegotiate is contract anyway this year. He is playing his cards in the correct way.

How old a person are you, son? Keeping the team "average"? SEC-W rep 2 time in 3 years? Average? 32 wins versus 6 losses average?

There's a fine line between ignorance and stupidity. ...

By average i mean they havent made a step up. We have stayed the same. We could very easy have 4 losses instead of 2 this year.

I wonder what Jacob Hester woould think about being called one of Sabans players?

Les Miles was here when many of these men were developed. He has been through thick and thin with them. They are his players not Sabans.

He is also not on tv every thirty minutes with a microphone in his face. The media would not leave Saban alone and it was becasue it was the Alabama job. Saban tried to handle it with class but they would not leave him alone. They have not puched Miles llike they did Saban.

And we eaily could have had 0 losses as well with that logic.

Most talent in SEC if not the country..1 all three years. two west titles to show for it. I admit this year maybe a SEC championship but I doubt it.

So, instead of "average", you meant stable, level, continuing to perform at a high, high standard?

Now, that I disagree with -- that's a loser's rationalization, and I wish Les hadn't made that statement. Just like we always say a win is a win is a win. Same goes true for the Ls.

(WVMD had a lot of games that could have gone either way. Won 3 in OT, Bluegrass Miracle, horrible Ole Miss team took us down to the last :20 or so - Ws are Ws and Ls are Ls).

Before we get too carried away with praising Miles for his class Boyce, what ya say we wait till after the recruiting season is complete to see just how all this impacted our recruiting for the year.

I hope this is some of your sarcasm Scoop. Are you saying that the Michigan job is a less prestigious job than the Bama job?

I've grown very tired of hearing other Bama fans talking about how Miles is winning with Saban's players. Many of those players may have been Saban's recruits, but they played for and were developed by Miles. It drives me nuts to continuously listen to that line of crap. It's just like the excuses that will come next year if Saban doesn't win when they will say that they lost with Shula's players, not Saban's. I've got news, their may have been Shula's players playing this year but next year they will only have been his recruits, the players will all be Saban's.

Yeah, but see...he's actually right. You can call it a rationalization and you can hate the way it sounds, but you really can't fault the statement as far as right/wrong is concerned.

Ace: Maybe he made that statement because Georgia is above us and should't be.

That doesn't make it right. We're better than UGA is this year - our losses are better and our wins are better. The polls don't agree. But don't say something silly like "We're undefeated in regulation." (I said it over the weekend, but I realize it's silly and Miles should have known better.)
