Epi Pens are allowed on flights. Just have to notify security before you go through the screening process. I've got a kid with a peanut allergy, and we've flown before without issue. Just have to be mindful of your own situation and take whatever steps you can (always take the first flight out that day to ensure the plane is clean, have your party sit on either side of the kid, be mindful of your surroundings, etc.). It's really not that difficult to get it done without affecting any other passenger on the plane.
Clapping as they left was pretty shitty, although not surprising. People can be dicks sometimes![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

You're a good parent though... and thoughtful of others.... I've seen some parents who will throw off the whole kitchen at a restaurant because their kid can't have gluten or each anything that touches it.
