Current status of LSU Basketball re: winning the SEC Tournament

I've seen this posted a bunch by people on here, and it needs to be addressed. As of today 2/23/16, LSU sits at 9-5 in SEC play. We have 4 games remaining in the regular season. With that being said, IF we win all 4 games, we do NOT have to win the SEC tournament to make it to the NCAA tourney. A game or two, maybe. But not the championship.
Is it likely that we win all 4? Absolutely not. With Keith out, it's even more unlikely. Be that as it may, it's still possible. A win against Kentucky at Rupp would erase a lot of the negatives in the eyes of the committee, along with wins at Arkansas and home against current tourney team, Florida, and Missouri.
So, to all posters continuing to spread the "must win the SEC tourney" narrative, please stop. Because as of today, that is not the case...yet.

Maybe people are prognosticating that they will do the most likely thing and lose 3 of the last 4. That could be why they are saying the SECT is the only hope. But you and I know if they limp to a 1-3 record the rest of the way they are not winning the SECT.

And I don't thin anyone needed to be told that LSU would have a shot at getting into the tourney if they rolled off 6 straight wins including at Kentucky and made it to the SEC tournament finals before the committee made their selections. I just think that most people aren't giving that much of a chance.

If we win our last 4, we're in.
If we go 3-1 (loss to Kentucky), we likely need to make the SEC Tournament final.

oh, it's def not looking good. but it's ridiculous for people to keep saying we HAVE to do something that's not absolutely true at this point.

People are probably just assuming we lose tonight.
Theoretically, if we lose tonight and then beat Kentucky, that would be better than the other way around. But if we lose tonight, it's pretty much over unless we win the SEC Tournament.

i agree. we haven't proven we can win that many games in a row anyway. I'm so interested to see how we play tonight. I really am.

then you have to win the next 3 and at least get to the championship game. but if it's a loss like saturday, it's over. if they play hard and lose a close one, it'll be interesting.

I think tonight's game will be an indicator of how the remaining games will go. Especially early on in it, I expect them to win but if they come out flat again the SEC Tourney is the only thing saving them
