I'd rather drive an hour to Lafayette once a month for a festival than an hour every day for work

LA Winter Beer Festival
Nice quaint beer festival in its second year. March 5th

Banners Arts and Entertainment
Lots of good shows for a good price and good venue.

Rouge et Blanc
Great wine and food event on Mcneese campus in the fall.

**Avoid Contraband Festival.

Boogaloo Calcasieu Museum of Art fundraiser

yeah I wouldn't really commute to Lake Charles from Lafayette, if I had to move for work it would probably be New Orleans or out of state.

I do have a friend in environmental consulting that's done it for 6 years now
