Not reading through everything... But it's much harder to face mid-high 90s after facing mid-high 80s with nasty high 70s-low 80s off speed. At least it was when I played... It's really hard to adjust as a hitter to the change in sides and speeds when it's that drastic.

Common misconception is Poche doesn't throw hard. He will be 88-92 and probably closer to the 92 early. But i agree you go lefty 88-92 to righty 94-96 back to lefty at low 80's amd hitters never get comfortable. I think the rest of the year whoever the Sunday guy is and whether he is a lefty or righty will have a lot of say on who starts Friday and Saturday.

It's more poche's offspeed stuff that is the kicker... Actually heard Cannizzaro say he is hitting 90s... But the curve and change coming low 80s and coming across the body or into righties... Lange is hitting mid 90s which is a huge difference even with poche hitting 90. Then you add that 12-6 Lange has and freaking tough to make that adjustment.... Then the lefty on Sunday 8-10mph slower... Don't have a chance to get settled in as a hitter. Better than having 3 guys throwing 95
