Then how do Florida, Michigan State, Texas, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Iowa and Michigan seem to have pretty consistent success in basketball? Hell, even Alabama, a pure football school with absolutely no basketball history or reputation, managed to find a better coach than we have. Blaming football for basketball's failure is a cop-out. If anybody in charge at LSU had the slightest desire to have a decent basketball program, we could have one.
