Incorrect on a lot of posters part. If you want him to develop horrible form, make him shoot on a 10' goal as a 5 year old. Anyone with boys, or that has coached has seen this happen to kids. I'm sure other states have youth developmental leagues that play on lowered rims to encourage proper form and actual scoring to take place.

Youth leagues start at 5-6 years old and they play on an 8' goal. I don't think anybody is saying make him shoot on a 10' goal.
