Okay, so perhaps his word choice could have been a little better, but English is his second language, let's give him a little leeway.
Basically, he was sayiing that being homosexual is biologically kind of weird. And, now, here's the deal. As Americans, we've been told over and over for the past 30 years that it's okay to be gay. That there isn't anything wrong with being gay, and so this comes to form part of our belief system. I'm sure this holds true in Europe as well Social acceptance has bred pressure for more social acceptance, and that cycle goes around and around until basically it's offically okay to be gay.
But now pretend that you aren't from America or Europe, and that it hasn't been beat into your head that being gay is okay. Wouldn't you note that human beings, and in fact all animals, are little more than highly aggressive agents acting on behalf of our genes.* That we are essentially gene propagation machines, and that life itself as we know it wouldn't exist if this weren't the absolute capital-T Truth. And then wouldn't you observe homosexuals and make note that their preferences are completely inapposite with our underlying biological agenda. And then after observing that, wouldn't you form a conclusion that those guys were kinda weird? Yeah, of course you would.
And then you'd note that you've never seen a male hamster grunting it out while going anal on another male hamster. "Well yeah, of course I haven't. Why would males be attracted to males when our focking biological initiative is propagate the species?" you might say.
And those would not be unreasonable observations and notes. That's all I'm saying. Bummer for Pacquiao as he's probably losing out on a boatload of coin.
*Loosely paraphrasing Richard Dawkins there from "The Selfish Gene"

That's a whole lot of spin to ascribe that view on a guy that has been pretty obvious his religious view run his actions. His description of those actions as being that of animals was CLEARLY not his way of simply pointing out it was "weird." Manny, like most ultra-religious folks, don;t even like accepting that we ARE animals. Manny...and I love the guy as a boxer BTW...was obviously calling them animals as a way to place them down with animals.
I mean...people are free to agree or disagree with what he said, but why go through the trouble of smoothing out the rough edges when he went through the trouble of making them rough in the first place?
