A coworker of mine had his out in his mid 40's. it was pretty damn rough on him and he stayed out of work for a month or 6 weeks.
he had some kind of shite earlier in life like mono that damaged his tonsils to the point that they had to be removed decades later.

Got mine out at about 22.
Worse pain I've ever felt.
After about 2 weeks, something happened, and it kept bleeding.
From my house in Berwick to the hospital in Thibodaux (20ish miles), I spit up 2 solo cups full of blood.
