I made a post about him last week and didn't get much feedback.

He's not the megacoach/superstar that we got that the top of all our lists, but I think he's a good coach and by all accounts, he is. He spent 2 tours with Tressel at Youngstown and at Ohio State(defensive coordinator), was a secondary coach at Michigan State with Saban...going by results, did a decent job at Cincinatti. He's a defensive guy, so he may have a more conservative philosophical approach offensively...

Here's his MSU profile:

ESPN.com clip on him being hired at MSU:

I like him a lot and I'm surprised no one has mentioned him.

I'd LOVE the hire but would he abandon his team after just 1 year?

rocket, i like the guy but does he have the experience and is he thick skinned enough to handle the lsu fan base. call me crazy but some of our former coaches did not deal with the fanbase in a positive manner

Don't know. Don't know if he has any desire to coach at a place like LSU.

Adam, I don't know. He seems like a serious guy. I just don't know. I mean, he would definitely have to adjust just like most coaches would/have.

In this clip, he says he's going to be at MSU a long time so how serious he was when he said that, I don't know:

He is a good up and comer. Still, I'd like to see how he does at MSU for a few more years. They kind of tailed off at the end this year.
