I can see why they don't fire him right now, simply because Loomis doesn't have the time or ability to operate an NBA front office in all aspects. That and being in the position of a critical point in the franchise with even more uncertainty or reaching for a guy without properly vetting the candidates due to time constraints.
With that said everything else you said I agree 100%. The way we have went about decisions at all levels have been bizarre and makes us look like the Kings or Nets.
