My parents were down in there a few weeks ago. My pops said there is no way they can legitimately pull it off. He said Rio is a tremendous shite hole.
I'm sure they will put up some kind of smoke and mirrors deal to put on a show but if there is an Olympics to miss, it's this one.

Not that it is a shithole, the infrastructure is so bad and pray that crime won't be rampant.
