smart guy here. thousands of folks are using this without any problem. whats your beef with it?
eta the chlorine in chlorox is way more pure than those tabs you use.

I have a salt pool now, but when I used the tabs I found that they dissolved much slower and thus were much easier on o deal with.
The trick is getting the water right and keeping it that way.
How many gallons of that bleach are you using in he summer?
I just don't see it as cost-effective and it will be much easier to balance the water with tabs.
