We need to cut strife also.

Not really. He doesn't make a ton of money and he's still decent. Peat might beat him out, but he would be a damn good backup.

And cheap(NFL Vet wise).
Unless we somehow do better with veteran OT depth on the cheap I see him coming back in 2016.

Neither Strief nor Spiller will be gone before the draft.
Unlike Jahri, the bulk of their savings only comes after a June 1 cut.

And nothing happens till we are certain of an outcome for Drew.
Like people have said, the savings on either of them can't be spent till June 1 anyway. So, before that, is a team willing to spend anything to acquire Spiller? we'll at least ask.

Now, let's say we extend Drew, and have pre-draft cap to spend.
Well now we can agree to a deal with a player, and finalize it after June 1. So maybe we have a reason to cut both, and save that $4.7mm.
We can designate one of them (Zach, because, thanks) ... and just tell CJ to F off if he doesn't net us a pick before June 1...

Then heading into the draft, we prioritize a guard in the 2-3-4 so Andrus moves to RT... and add a Kenyan Drake/Kelvin Taylor at RB in the 4-5 to bolster RB depth.

Agreed. He also is a great team guy to have. He's said multiple times he wants to help the team any way he can. I wonder if he can coach the oline.
