2013 was one of the greatest offensive outings for the tigers and it was just good enough to finish in the top 25 for total offense for that season.
How many times will i have to explain this for the board?
The only reason our totals were low in 2013 was because of our scheme. We dont run a HUNH like some teams. In 2013 we were 11th in the country in yards per play BUT we were 105th in plays ran so it skewed our totals.
Using totals as a measurement for a team's success is just dumb because totals are skewed by TOP (defense)and plays ran (offense).
Yards per play and points per play are considered PURE stats because they arent skewed by other stats.
2013 LSU offense was elite.
11th in the country in yards per play
9th in the countrh in points per play
We uses the entire play clock trying to shorten the game and dont run a hurry up no huddle

Now these are stats that are good for an argument. All I was trying to get at was you shouldn't try to convince people of how great an LSU single season could be by using past LSU seasons and stats.
And for the record, I would take a 2013 looking offense over a HUNH any day
