Being around .500 with TWO superstars and loads of talent on paper is unacceptable.

They will be in the playoffs with a chance to make a little bit of noise based on matchups. Obviously won't make it past the 2nd round but better than New Orleans not even being in the hunt in AD's 4th year.

Better to get assets then get steam rolled by SA or GS.

How would that help?

Pels will have a way higher chance of getting the number one overall pick than Houston's chances of making it out of the first round.

We made the playoffs last year. It was great. Getting swept by GS again this year would not even be good. Unfortunately just the way the NBA works. Aside from a few exceptions its always better get a top 8 pick then lose in the first round. The more times you get the 8th seed, the harder it is to climb the ladder.
