No, this isn't some joke or comedy thread, I actually am considering getting this procedure done. I am 32 years old and at this point have pretty much decided that even if I ever do get married I have no interest in having children.

With that said, while I do enjoy sex I do a lot of times get nervous even with protection about the potential consequences. As I have gotten older (not old but beyond my 20s where you feel invincible) I have not had sex nearly as often (to be honest I haven't had sex in the last 2 years) out of the fear of getting the woman pregnant.

I look at a vasectomy as true sexual freedom, that I can then not even have to worry anymore. I wanted to get some opinions though on what you all think about it, especially from the female perspective as well as from the male perspective of anyone who has the procedure done.

From the female perspective, how would you look at a guy that you are considering or are already dating if he came out and said he had a vasectomy done? From the male perspective, if you have had the procedure, is there anything specific I should know about it? What are some things the average person considering the procedure might not think about but should?

I definitely thank you all for helping me with this very important personal decision.
