I aint endorsing any tour other than the one I went on. Just letting the OP know what Maverick offers.
Frankly, I found the Canyon a bit of a letdown when on foot. The helicopter tour was far more enjoyable. I'd opt for the Hoover Dam if I did it again. But I looked at it like a bucket list, once-in-a-lifetime sort of thing.
If i had to go in the Canyon again, I'd do a raft trip or ride a mule to the bottom.

Grand Canyon = slow drivers
I was amazed how short the walls are that keep you from falling off the cliff. They are only like 2ft tall.
Take a ride through that national park right before it on 180. I went mud riding, and had a blast.
I'd still like to take a chopper tour because I didn't get to see much in my truck
There is also one pretty hot feather Indian chick working the booths to let you into the park. Tell her I said what's up and ask her why she blocked my number

Where did you see it at?
The views from the actual Grand Canyon National Park(South Rim) are pretty amazing.

I don't trust the mules Rafting would be awesome(you have to plan that one out several months in advance though...maybe even up to a year).
My goal is still to hike down and back one day. I'm actually going back to GC next week to show my aunt for the first time. Taking Grand Canyon Railroad to the south rim.

Yes I have
Everything in Vegas is expensive
It's worth it once but once you've seen it I wouldn't go again
I see it out the plane window every time I fly to vegas and that's enough for me

Village area, South Rim (close to the train depot). I don't deny the views are great, but I wasn't overwhelmed by it like I was staring at the Pacific in La Jolla or by the views I saw in Estes Park and Crested Butte.

I'd trust the mule more than a horse- and I am a horse owner
our guide said most people who take a mule to the bottom of the canyon do it once...ONCE. Apparently its not the most comfortable trip.

I did a helicopter tour as well and it was more enjoyable. Only thing I hated was that due to the weight distribution....I didn't get to sit next to a window so I had to look over either my cousin or some really large guy to see the views.

I got lucky as hell. The pilot was an old PHI pilot who worked out of Houma (my home town). Soon as he found out i was from there, we were best friends. He made sure I was up front. In all fairness tho, we had 3 passengers up front and only 2 in the back, so everyone could see. The Airbus helicopter we were on had ample viewing area.

I could still see, just was more awkward when I wanted to actually take pictures.

Flew with Papillon the first week of January. Did the afternoon trip, view of the strip, Hoover Dam, and land in the Grand Canyon.
They told us up front that there was weather coming in and there was a chance the landing would have to be cancelled and offered everyone a full refund if they didn't want to go. However, if you did decide to make the trip and they weren't able to land they would adjust the cost accordingly. Unfortunately, the weather set in on us so we weren't able to land in the Canyon. When we got back, they gave us a FULL refund and even let us drink the champagne that we were supposed to drink at the landing site.
Very accommodating and I'd recommend.

That's the company I flew with from the South Rim a couple years ago. Even though I didn't get window seating....great company.
The pilot was actually some really hot chick, the men in helicopter I was in kept checking her out.

Did the all day one a couple of years ago that included the helicopter to the canyon, white water rafting and helicopter back. It was amazing.
