It's private land, but there were several others hiking the area when I went last year

Providence Canyon is a nice little day trip.
Little River Canyon is also a great place to hike and backcountry camp.
Cloudland Canyon in NW Ga is the largest gorge east of the Mississippi and is good for renting a cabin on the rim.
