Probably not going to go through all that. Maybe it'll just go away on its own just like it came from nowhere. Playing a ton of single player games and catching up on backlog in the mean time:
Ori and the Blind Forest (started today played 6.4 hrs straight)
Life is Strange (finished through episode 3)
The Witness (haven't started yet)
So much more..

Also I did just watch an entire 2 hr movie on HBO go on the PS3 and had no issues. No sign outs or anything.
What could it be that is specifically messing up signal for online games but not streaming media on wifi console? Maybe if I tested a PS3 game online and it was fine that would further point to Ethernet cord and/or port problems?

Haha then it's not that big of an issue for you.
if you can play online games on PS3 without issue its most likely your ethernet cable/LAN port on your computer.
