I have an onion sensitivity. About 3 hours after eating onions, I get the trots. Many times I've "discovered" that someone put onion powder in something that they said they didn't. If you did this to me, you would wake up with a puddle of runny crap on your front porch.

I will add that my mother has to eat a gluten free diet. They removed a section of her large intestine 2 years ago because the lining was so damaged that she was losing blood. It wound up being Celiac. Once she cut out gluten in her diet, her intestines began to heal. If she has anything with gluten in it, about 2 hours later she is doubled over in pain and is in bed for the next 12-24 hours.
