I'm not a doctor. My role is more closely related to the intersection between physical sciences and oncology. Being confident in what I know is an important aspect of my job because doctors do rely on me to know more than they do about certain subjects. Another important thing is knowing the limits to my knowledge.

Anyway, I don't have a problem stating when I know more about something than someone else, particularly in a debate about issues that I care about, and that affect people I care about.

If you're making an issue out of my confidence, then it's because you lack confidence. Take it as a sign that you need to learn more.
