Jesus. Then get the frick off here, quit your job and go travel for a while. Live off the grid for a bit and seek clarity. Refresh.

This might seem like a great suggestion to you, but giving advice like this to someone who suffers from a mental illness or disorder is probably not helpful. You're talking to someone who has anxiety/panic disorder and depressive disorder. Simply going out and traveling is probably not going to solve those problems. In fact, traveling might trigger anxiety and panic, and ultimately exacerbate their problems. By telling someone how to fix their problems, you can make it seem to them that you're trivializing their problems, or that you think it's their fault they haven't figured out how to solve them yet.

If you want to support someone who suffers from mental disorders, offer sympathy and a friendly ear if they want to talk about their issues. Leave the treatment and counseling to professionals.

Do antidepressants really help? What does it feel like when they work? I kinda have a theory that if antidepressants worked, people would be taking them recreationally.

Lighten up, it's not like I said jump off a bridge or snort some blow. Hate to hear someone say something like that or feel that way.

BTW, I can tell you're dug in with lots of ammo on this topic. Good luck with what you're going through.
